Tricky Pixie’s back in town and we missed you! Come see us, and fall in love with Leslie’s music as well!
With special guest Leslie Hudson, the wild pixie bards return to their beloved PNW!
Tricky Pixie is Alexander James Adams, Betsy Tinney, and S. J. Tucker. Oft compared to a musical blend of whiskey, chocolate, and honey mead, the trio draws their enthusiastic audiences into a daring and dangerous world of original folk ballads, pirate shanties, jigs and reels the likes of which you’ll hear nowhere else. Alec, Betsy and Sooj take inspiration from the fairytales of many cultures, as well as modern-day literature, and they proudly fuse those tales into original songs and arrangements for voice, cello, guitar, hand drum, mandolin, fiddle, and whistle.
Leslie Hudson is a powerhouse performer and prolific songwriter bringing rock, jazz, metal, blues, folk, filk and funk to her body of her work, which illustrates the mosaic of the feminine spirit across culture, history and myth, digging into the dirt, traversing the shadows, and bringing the truth to light. Hudsons influences, woven into her voice as well as her fingers on the keys, glide from Tori Amos to Loreena McKennitt, Metallica to Simon & Garfunkel. Armed with a synesthetic palette, she invites her listeners to see through the eyes of heroines, villains, lovers and liars alike, as she breathes new life into stories less often told.
