I’ve had a wild week. I hope it’s been less eventful for yall, apart from happy things. I got home from performing/teaching at the Starwood festival just in time to wash all my muddy laundry & immediately leave again for an all-too-brief family vacation. While we were up in the beautiful Ozarks, I learned my primary checking account had been frozen (nobody told me this; there was no word from my bank) while my amazing mother headed off an identity theft attempt against her. I’m still straightening that out, as is Mom, and a bunch of yall sent me words of support yesterday-thank you! Those moments of kindness+tickets & paid downloads count for so much in a crisis, large or small.
A few minutes after we got home yesterday, I learned of the death of an old friend, one of my first teachers in witchy spaces, who Saw Me as the bard I’d become before almost anybody else thought to look. I may still be a bit raw about it during the stream tomorrow, and I will probably share a bit about him. If yall can be there, it will mean a lot to me.
