“The voice of lore at the campfire and the sharp laughter of modern myth… S. J. Tucker is songs and stories, community and wit.”-Phil Putnam

“Tucker is not only fantastic; she’s like a character out of a fantasy novel. She weaves myth and magic into her lyrics as easily as a strain of cello, a lick of something electric, the chuffing of a train engine…Tucker has a knack – no, a genius – for weaving old ways with new.”
–C. S. E. Cooney, blackgate.com
“S. J. Tucker sounds like no one else out there. I’m not sure if she is fairy, shape-shifter, otherworldly, or just a super intelligent, super perceptive woman…Critics have compared her voice to Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos, her guitar style to Emily Saliers. I believe she is a complete original coming straight from Neverland where Magick is real.”

March shows & news!
Thanks for being here, fam. It’s so good to have you to share my joys with.
I had an epic birthday in the Ozark mountains last month, working and playing in a cabin retreat which my Patrons helped me to be able to afford! I’m back at work now, preparing for two live concerts this month, and chipping away at my recording projects!

And speaking of the Ozarks, on March 14 in the evening, I’ll be part of Nomadic Pyro Circus’s Full Moon Eclipse Jam near Eureka Springs, AR. I’m planning to perform Gramma Wolf’s Garden live, with songs sprinkled throughout the story, since the moon will be high and bright. Lots of other performers and bands are coming out to the woods for this gathering, and everyone is invited! RSVP for location info and more.
My tour buddy Leslie Hudson will be back on the road this spring, and they’re joining me for a live concert in Belle, Missouri on March 29 at 7pm! We will also stream that one to Bandcamp Live in realtime, and we hope you’ll join us if Missouri’s not an in-person option for you! Go here to see us on your screen that night!
I’ll be in someone else’s recording studio, someone other than me, for the first time in YEARS this weekend, working on brand new things which I’ll hopefully be able to tell you ALL ABOUT soon after. Wish me luck!
Hang in there, everybody. Good things are still happening, with more to come. This I trust.
